Welcome! At first i thought you said £107 in 3 days! I wish!
Its a great app - i love it Why does no one else have a quit counter on here? They seem very popular on other forums, am i the rouge on here or something
They tax the hell out of cigarettes in the UK - but i think they should tax them a whole lot more. Making it too expensive to smoke must lower the overall smoking rate?
When you are a smoker you are a smoker, I remember saying once they reach $5 australian a packet I would quit, then once they reach $10 a packet I would quit, well you just pay it because you need to do it and now for a packet of 40 they are between $30 and $35 a packet and people are still smoking, it doesn't matter to the smoker how much they charge they will go without other things before they give up their cigs.
It's not about the price it's about wanting to quit for whatever reason they have, I would like to think that we give up smoking for our own personal reasons not because we are forced to because I dont think it would work for very long before smokers find a way to buy another packet, but then we can all relate to that can't we

Yes! I saw that the point disappeared on the post but it calculated so quickly..... Today already on GBP 17.09 ..... Wow
I like the app...
Agreed with Jillibean.... If you are a smoker you will buy that packet, no matter the cost !!!!!!!
The moment there is a feeling of force.... you kick your heels in the sand and do what you want to...
I surely stopped for personal reasons and Oh Boy am I glad I did it.....:):):):)
Although, our country is far behind on smoking laws and tobacco taxes.
It is only the last 2 years that some restaurants are smoke free but most of the public places are still open for smoking.
My last visit to the UK and Europe was in 2002 and I was surprised with the strict laws and enforcement thereof on smoking.
Elizabeth64 He was talking about Quitza the blue ticker in my signature. (quitza.com if you cant see it for some reason?)
Its a website / online app that (in my humble opinion) is better than most iphone apps. and i have tried / paid for a whole bunch of them! Although i am a bit of a tech geek and not many people seem to use it - so maybe i am wrong!
I don't think Quitza is an iphone app (im not sure tho tbh) - but it works great on a mobile web browser if you have an internet connection. And you can set it in GBP
If you need an offline app - Kwit is the best one i found that also allows you to set the currency to GBP. I think you have to pay for it though.
