Oh so quiet.......................
Are there only four of us in this room now?... - No Smoking Day
Are there only four of us in this room now? It's very quiet
I,m hoping the forum will pick up fter the gigantic melt down of a few weeks back.
But your moving nicely with your quit, just keep going,
Doing great, could you ever have believed it, those weeks are passing quite nicely
Yes it is amazing how the time quickly all adds up. In mu opinion a quit is all about being selfish, and as long as there is at least 1 person to speak to that will listen, and knock some sense in to me (in the early days of my quit) then I'm good
Yes, hopefully it will pick up. By you're right, quitting is selfish. It has to be, and it's about doing something good for ourselves - even if, in our skewed thinking it doesn't feel like it - and some of us humans are not good at doing something good for ourselves.
What few of us there are we are being very supportive. It's good to know we are not alone. I have a friend who quit using this forum a couple of years back and she tells me there were dozens of really good folks on here. I have been very surprised how few there are especially after this years no smoking day. I know I would be a much harder time without you guys so thanks for the support.
We are being supportive. And it definitely is working for me. I didn't believe it would. It go gives a bolster when needed, encouragement and seeing people further along the path, that is a strong reminder that I can do the same.
New room tomorrow Spanish Eyes. Happy Easter!
I'm with Starting_Life and walkabout on the fact that quitting is a selfish act, and rightly so. One of the dangers of quitting smoking is depending on the reliance on others to make yourself successful. Quitting has to be managed by the person who smokes, even when they have support from others.
