Another year bites the dust.

Two. Two years. Two healthy lungs. Two legs with fully oxygenated bloodflow through their veins. Two running shoes that have seen lots of travel. Two blades on the paddle I can now kayak full days with. Two tires on the bike I now ride to work. Two arms that will be around to hug my wife long into old age. Two nostrils that dont plug as much when I have a cold. Two weeks and that cold is well past done with no bronchitis. Two years of working out.. challenging and bettering myself.. Two. Darn right this Norseman is proud.

Breathe easy everyone.

Vike

'Two' right! :D

That really is a fabulous post Viking.

Many congratulations from me on your celebrating two smoke-free years. Well done you and thanks so much for dropping by to let us know how it is going. I keep saying this but it really is lovely for us undergrads when 'old boys' call in. :)

Big thanks! Donna... the two things that helped me the most were taking it one day at a time while celebrating the little things along the way and I also carry around a list of why I quit in the first place, how tough it was and some quotes and web links to this forum and others if things get really rough. The tough cravings would be gone by the time I read through my list and my quit would be reaffirmed. I wish you the best in your quit and hope you can stick it to the nicodemon one and for all! Remember.. everything he says is a big fat lie and he smells funny!
