Poodling along very nicely now. Craves have almost gone but I am on my guard as I know they can strike at any time.
New knee is slowly coming along. Still hobbling and its difficult to walk very far in comfort without crutches. I don't use them but feel that I would be happier if I did.
I have decided that I am going to use some of my saved money for some private physio sessions which I feel will help more than the NHS. Please don't think I am knocking NHS because I'm not, It just means I can have some 1 to 1 sessions where as the NHS ones were in a group and hopefully it will help
Keep going everybody

I am so glad your op went well and I think it's a fab idea to get extra physio, you will be whizzing about in no time with strong pins and free-er lungs - go get em

Congrats on reaching month 6.
I'm only on month 3 - but doing OK. I broke my foot just a month after I'd packed up the fags - but resisted lighting up to cope with the pain. Just been discharged by the hospital this very morning - and am able to dispense with my crutches. Been told the ligaments will take up to 6 months to heal properly. I'll be 9 months smoke free by then !
Hope the one-to-one physio helps you. I'm in the fortunate position of having a son and a daughter-in-law who are both NHS Hospital Physios ! So - I'll get private treatment at home - at no cost !
Hope your new knee proves as good as your refurbished lungs !
We were wondering how you were doing in the Nov/Dec quitters sub forum only the other day. Were your ears burning??
HUMUNGOUS congratualtions from me for reaching the Halfway House. You can put your feet (and your new knee :D) up now and watch things unfold on the road behind you. I bet the view is fantastic isn't it?
A big hello Want it is good to see you stopping by. It has been quite a while. I remember you from last year. I am happy to hear you are smoke free and I wish you all the best with the new knee. keep going!
