Garlic, cinnamon paprika, chillie, sugar and s&p ( about a tea spoon each) and 2 to 4 garlic gloves
Olive oil
Lemon juice
Chicken or veg stock cube
Fry onions just untill softened, add spices in including sugar, not lemon juice
Add tin of tomatoes and chop up a bit,
Add chick peas
And enough chicken stock to just quite not cover
Cooke around 20 mins un covered.
Take out a couple of ladles and blend, put back in with soup add few drops lemon juice and hay hoe, you can add other kind of white tins of beans, it's what I have in the pantry , just easy as we all have tins ect so no brainer!
Hi Tracey nearly a month in the bag is brilliant! Hope you enjoy your new room I have frequented it many times  the soup sounds delicious too, I have found a nice recipe for an Italian pasta soup to do in the slow cooker, ideal in the holidays because I put it on in the morning and if we go out with kids it's ready for lunch when we get back x
Oh sound lovely, I do love slow cookers, and so cheap to run , sounds nice? What's is it you cook? .
Yes feeling better this afternoon noon, so fingers crossed can only go forward as going back is not a option for me.

Hi Donna.
If you like west Indian food you should check out my goat curry recipe, it's on a thread best food recipes.
I've neaver given it to anybody apart from this forum, it cooks brilliant in a slow cooker
Thanks for the store cupboard chickpea soup recipe too Tracey- looks lovely and I have again copied out for my file. :). I make a chickpea and chorizio stew with very similar ingredients and will probably make a batch of the soup too next time I make the stew.
Beer's goat curry recipe is in my file too though I haven't made it yet. Funnily enough, was discussing goat curry with a fellow foodie at work just the other day. I could eat a plateful right now I can tell you.
