Day 4 - Feeling Icky

Hi all,

Bit of a rant.. So apologies! :p

So day 4, bit of a heavy drinking session in the Harp last night -topped with a curry- so feeling sufficiently s**te today.. Didn't cave though, which was a result! The pub was packed, so we were standing outside among the inflicted, so was a bit of a test! :D

Little bit on edge today, works dull, data entry is melting my brain, and a bit concerned about my patch! I normally have it on my chest, sorta 1inch above the nipple (hehe... still funny at 20yrs), and rotate the side per day, but I've got a bit of a red patch on both sides!

So I thought I'd put it a little further down than usual, and it seems to be falling off, which is beginning to annoy me! Having to fondle my moob every 10 minutes! GAH. --- and breatheeeeee!

Feeling like today is going to be particularly unproductive!

How is everyone else doing today?

  • Know what you mean , I looked like a chess board, with all my red marks, have switched to another brand, and much better.

So amazingly well you coped on the booze and a curry night out, many people struggle with alcohol, it seems to be a trigger for many to have a fag.

Wow wow your doing amazing, hope your proud:)

  • yeah so impressed you can do the beer and curry night without caving. I am still heavily supervised round alcohol. My OH who doesn't smoke watches me like a hawk when I have a glass of red wine in my hand.

I had patches once on a quit and had the same problem. Duct tape came in handy! People are so going to be talking about you by the end of the day if you don't stop fondling yourself.

My day is turning out to be OK. I'm on holiday so leisurely coffee this morning followed by a little stroll round the local reservoir.

Now I really need to think about cleaning my house. I'm trying to bargain myself into doing two rooms today. I hate cleaning.

  • Morning DC,

Why don't you try your shoulder blades. Easy to slap that sucker on each morning right over your shoulder and it stays put lol

Congratulations on a job well done last evening that was a big step wasn't it. Well you are going to kick this things azz right before you know it.

I want to see you nipping at my heels the whole way to the penthouse, deal? ;)

Good stuff! Don't let the cleaning get you down Sue! Baby steps. If no one else is in, blast some music and sing as loud as you can? That's what I do! :D

Thanks Tracey! :) That's an image! Bishop to L5? :p I think its where I'm not rotating enough around my body, I like these patches, so hope it's just too much in one area!

Hiya, I get red patches too. Why not try the top of your arms. Worse comes to worse u are gonna have to spin on your chair lol to keep u busy x

Lol :P I can spin in my chair fondling my chest! It'll look awesome :)

Sherry, that is a good idea! Is there not too much movement there? I'll give it a go at the weekend, less chances to sneak off to the shop if it falls off! :P You're on ;) I should warn you, I've got a bite like a Bulldog (how patriotic), so no slowing down! :)

Thank you all for the support! Makes the day go much smoother! x

  • Doing good I found patches a pain, but stick with it a well done for the other night :D:D xx

Not as much of a pain as Day 3!!!

  • Well done on passing the alcohol/pub test. I found it ridiculously hard to begin with, like I was missing out. Now I just feel sorry for the people having to smoke outside whilst I can stay comfortable chatting with my friends, and spend the money I would have spent on cigs on an extra few drinks ;)

I hope you sort out your patches and that day 5 goes smoothly for you x
