That's the spirit Dude :D

You need a run up at quitting to make it stick, imho.A run up,lots of determination and a plan, like whether to use NRT or cold turkey or Champix etc.

Also motivation so if posting in the next room makes you actually get there then good for you

Great advice and welcome:)

Thanks for all the advice :)

feeling a million times better today, after my post I went straight to bed and slept off the worst!

woke up this morning at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep :( jumped in the bath and watched a movie on the IPAD.

Had a BAD crave at 6am after eating breakkie and another in the car on the way in to work , but yea today is much better than yesterday *GULP* i hope !!!!

Well done for hanging on in there Dude :)

Putting Day 3 to bed is always a result as you'll be well on the way to getting the worst of the physical withdrawal out of the way.

You'll be looking back on your first full week before you know it. :D

Me and my big mouth!!

Today is WORSE than ever, when do I stop thinking about smoking?

Damn it! every time I have a cup off coffee or stand up to leave my office , I reach for my smokes!! and then i remember i have stopped and get that sinking feeling in my stomach.

Man alive it would be nice to go the day without thinking about smoking or worrying about it (says he GLARING at the receptionist, as she walks in from a smoke on the fire escape)

hmmm note to self, goto find more for the receptionist to do! she obviously has toooooo much time on her hands *EVIL GRIN*

Umm err I suppose the same could be said for me ! I used to lead the fire escape "meetings" ROTFL.

Oi stop talking non sense and get back to feeling "Miserable" and making everyone else miserable *EXTRA EVIL GRIN*

Not many people find this quitting easy, (that includes me).

Ah it's so horrid when that's all you can think about, but it will pass, the more we resist mr NICO , the quicker he will give up.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.:)

Your doing great, sometimes I like to read long term quitters posts, so inspiring, keeps me going.

Keep going you do it:cool:

Dude, just hold on in there and it will get easier. I know it doesn't feel like it at the moment but it really is very early days. At this stage just try to take it an hour (or even a minute) at a time. Time will feel as if it is crawling along and you'll feel disembodied/dismembered/hopelessly out of sync as well as irritable (and quite possibly depressed and tearful) but it all passes, honestly it does :).

Just tell yourself that (a) it is SO worth the pain because the gain you will experience soon (and are probably already beginning to experience) is imense and (b) if you give in now you'll have it all to go through again next time (not a nice thought :().

Do whatever it takes to distract yourself and remember that craves may be frequent but rarely last longer than 3-5 minutes. Every time you get through one of those trigger moments it will become easier.

You're doing good, really you are. :)

It's now 5:45pm and I can't believe I got through today!

They are spot on when they say , that day 3 is the worst!!! at some stage I NEARLY went and bummed a smoke from the receptionist I was even off my chair and on the way to her desk!!

BUT deep breaths , TONS of water and a WHOLE LOT OFF willpower and off course this forum !! all combined they got me through today :)

Soooo tomorrow 5:00am is the start of day four YIKES! I hope it was better than today!!

HOLD THUMBS FOR ME!!!

You should be so proud of yourself, it's terribly difficult to quit when others are smoking around you.

Now you have had this experience it will give you more motivation to quit, you don't want all of it to be for nothing but most of all you don't want to go through it again!

Keep up the good work (:
