I've been doing some research in the hope of having something more interesting to say in my post this morning. So here goes
According to some it takes 6 weeks to break a habit. I hope so as I have not smoked a cigarette in the last 42 days :). Anyway it got me thinking what else could be achieved in a 6 week period, maybe write a book?
Charles a Dickens wrote 'A Christmas Carol' in 6 weeks. Due to high production costs initial publication yielded him the total sum of £230. That's over £70 LESS than I have earned through not smoking! Ok ok, so £230 might have been equal to £19,000 in today's money (it was 1843) but that's just details right?
Anyway, here is to the next 42 days of not smoking :D:D:D. Love you all!

Lindy, your posts are ALWAYS interesting!
Just goes to show what we can achieve though doesn't it? When you start, 6 weeks seems like 600 years but it's amazing how swiftly it passes. Suddenly you find yourself looking back and thinking how did that happen??

42 days :D
You are very kind :D. Time definitely flies though I agree
Lindy I love your post. They help me know what time of the day it is and I love your excitement and positive attitude you show everyday. love you girlie xx
I was just thinking, this works for you on another level Linda. You've had sleep issues for a number of years, so you can figure on it taking six weeks to break the "habit" aspect of your insomnia. After all, your body and brain are now used to you being sleepless so, assuming you have found/will find something that changes that (Nytol, hypnotherapy, etc), then it will take six weeks of your new regime to convince your body and brain that this is how it's going to be and for you to see what the real results are.
Fancy sticking a star on your calendar for six weeks from when you started and let us know how the Nytol's working out when you get to it?
That's definitely worth considering Kat. Treating Insomnia as another habit I need to break just might help me .....
