Have had a totally stinking couple of days, went from basically rolling over and waiting for the final straw that would get me to smoke to fighting back
Glad you got through the bad patch and held in there.
I'm on day 26 and have started having days when I hardly notice I have stopped. Although yesterday I left a large hole in the fridge.
Stay Strong
:)
Aww thanks!!
Oooh that's fab you're doing so well if you're having days you don't think about it
Lol and heck food tastes so much better it's worth having a pig out now and then!!
Superbly done Gemma, think you understand now you do have to fight and fight like crazy on some days so let us help you on those days where a brutal face to face, toe to toe slugfest with Nic is the only way forward xx
Thanks!!
Oooh I know i have to fight all right, had some bad times before but this was the worst ever - like I couldn't see any way out
But I did get through so here's to not smoking!! xx
Well done, Gemma. Now you know that you can get through the rough patches and you must feel proud of having got through this one!

Thanks Val
I'm proud of myself, amazed and daft as it sounds really tired  it really did drain me but I won, and the Marlboro Man lost

It does my heart good to see you back on the positive foot hon, just remember, if something is worth having then it's worth fighting for - where's the sense of achievement and pride if it's all handed to you on a plate? You're earning your freedom, which will make it soooooooo much more satisfying. If I could get hold of a copy of that poem, The Race, that wasn't accompanied by all kinds of dross and bugs then I would!
Soooooooooo pleased petal, I just can't say :D:D
Awww that's lovely, thanks hun
I'm fighting hard for this, partly because (like Steve linked to in my other thread) of all the reasons I didn't like smoking before!!
Oooh that reminds me!! *goes to other thread*
I'm fighting, and you're helping loads - everyone is!!
Yey, there's my quit buddy, thought I had lost you there for a while but boy am I pleased to see you still here with me, we ARE going to do this, Gems there's times I could literally rip the fag out of my OH's mouth and either smoke it or stub it out on his forehead but I don't  well ok I haven't done so YET!
The only people that can stop us from lighting up is us and to be honest the only people that can make us smoke is us, it's whether we choose to or not is all that matters, mind over matter, ha who am I kidding with all this bull sh*t it's tough hahahaha but we will and can do this chick a deeeee
Onwards and upwards Miss Gems
Here i am *waves*
LOL at stubbing it out on his head
Yeah you're right it's up to us, and all we've got to do is *not* do something, however tough it can be!!
I'm doing fine Gem thanks, everyday brings it's own challenges but got my sights set firmly on 1mth....
Now question....is 1 mth 4wks or the 20 th feb.....in a hurry to get there. We,ll both be moving on the same day now....
Glad you got through your wobble,I think you will go all the way now
Oooh YAY glad you're doing well
Ummm I think it's a full month from when we stopped so it'll be the 20th - but we post in the 1 month room 'cos it's over the 4 weeks - confusing isn't it?:eek:
I'll say this....you have my sincere and complete admiration. I know your 'blip' (such a flippant word) was a truly intense and emotionally draining experience for you. You were facing the inevitable (your words)...but you WON! Your mental toughness, resolve, and dedication are simply immense. Take courage, pride and a ton of self-esteem from it. You're stronger than most of us would've been.
And you've emerged happier, bouncier, and more confident, too
Which is why we're all smiling. You've given us all a bit more strength in our own quits.

Yep i definitely agree with what smoker-me said (have got all that written in my notebook - pink of course :p) was writing that in between cigarettes so it doesn't get much fresher than that!!
