I am on day 21 today - 3 whole weeks and I am pleased that Christmas has gone without any smoking crisis. I quit cold turkey on 6th Dec after 30+ years of 20 fags per day. I have tried unsuccessfully to quit on 10+ occasions but this time is different. I am determined to beat it. My cravings are now very rare - maybe one per day. I have been with and around smokers and it did not bother me - in fact I felt quite sad for them - or maybe sad for me thinking that I used to look like that when I smoked. Their shaking fingers as they clawed their cigarettes just made me feel - sad. I owe this quit to me, my wife and my 4 children and grandchild and I am determined to see it through. Anyway, well done to you and all the other people and thanks for your comments on these forums which have been a bigger help to me than anything.
Your doing really well and hats off for getting through Xmas. I think your obviously in the right frame of mind to kick this habit well and truly into touch!
