I can relate to the sniffing and sneezing so you have my full sympathy at the moment!
The fresh air and nice slow deep breaths will help your chest so much....and try not to rush about too, drink plenty or water as this keeps everything loose
Enjoy your Christmas shopping...imagine how quick it will be done without having to finish your ciggie before you go into a shop!!
(Please dont look at my stats and get worried about how long it lasts, mine is a chest infection that I didnt finish antibiotics for 9 weeks ago and its back with a vengence!)
......but this is a good thing yes? No symptoms then
bang! Barely slept been sneezing and sniffing all morning
tight chest needing some deep breaths to relieve but I
know it's my body trying to sort itself out. Going Xmas
shopping now this should test my resolve! Oh haven't sorted out
my signature thingy but I'm at 4 days 11 hours x
Hiya Rosie
Those are all symptoms of quitting - and they're all good ones 'cos your body is clearing out all the tar and muck, plus your nose and throat are getting used to not having to handle hot smoke in them.
Enjoy your shopping without having to juggle bags to have a fag.
When the shopping is over go to get coffee or tea in a place you wouldn't normally go to because it was too akward to get outside and smoke. I got a major crave when I had my shopping done and dusted, you know like the celebration smoke because I was happy,( unlike the miserable smoke because I was miserable, or the for no reason smoke because I had nothing to do) . I had a big mac instead,. I know the tight chest too, long slow deep breaths, hold them then exhale, now we as smokers have not being using our lungs, but I was told, if when you exhale you continue to blow out, make sure you completely empty your lungs then breath deep again. This will help your lungs to expand properly again, but it will also help them to clear the tar and gunk off them that little bit quicker. Good luck to day rosie.
