So after the internal conflict I decided to use the 'count both before and after the slip' method. This means I am now on day 29 (day 16). I think things are finally sorting themselves out.
I haven't been coughing in the mornings which is a godsend . Breathing has felt weird at times but I know this is due to bring able to breathe more deeply. Lightheaded moments are few and far between.
I don't have the feeling of wanting to cry anymore. I still don't know why I had that feeling but it's now gone.
My loose tooth is no longer giving me any annoyance, mostly because it 'fell ' out and is now in my wallet until I show it to the dentist on Wednesday. This is the third tooth I have lost through smoking (though it's the first I lost due to quitting lol).
Things are gradually seeming normal now and I can go for a couple of hours at a time without thinking about smoking. Looking forward to a time when this is a whole day but it will come.
I am grateful for the support that has gotten me to this point. You have no idea how helpful you have all been to me so far. Thank you!
Can't wait to post in month 2 room yee haa!!!

The thing about stopping smoking is that we all do it our own way. Someone said on your other post that in the long run a couple of days here or there wont matter, and they were right.
I feel that when I had my slip and felt like I should go back to day one, well I feel that it was one of the contributing factors to my going off the rails.
I think that you have done the right thing for you and I wish you many more smoke free days to come.
Last day in month one. Tomorrow I begin month 2. I had a look back over some post last year and I fell at week 8. I am determined I won't do that again, this is the time I will win my freedom and I don't care who I have to sleep with to do it lol.
