Bad temper...

& not from me...the OH is about 2 months into his quit & is as snappy as a feckin crocodile with toothache! I know I'm an irritating biatch & the kids are nightmares with their ADHD & Autism at the best of times but, jeez me beads, this is feckin horrendous! I guess, on a positive note that, although our relationship seems to be going down the toilet, we still don't feel tempted to reach for a cig...be thankful for small mercies, I guess

Sorry to hear your oh is struggling have you introduced him to this wonderful place at all?

i agree with Max you need to try and have a break from the kids and have some time together i know how hard that can be but even a night at the cinema or for a meal will help if you can manage to get away one of those spa weekends would be idea especially as your both smoke free now

Thanks, peeps. I wish we could get out...unfortunately, we live in the middle of nowhere (the nearest cinema is 2 1/2 hours away...yes, you read that right...2 1/2 hours!) & with the boys' behavioural problems, we can't get anyone to look after them so no chance of getting out as our daughter has her own child to look after & the boys are a hell of a handful. Still, it's a pleasant thought for when they're older...only got about 10 years to wait until the younger one will be considered old enough to be responsible!

As for Dave getting on here, it's not really his type of thing...he gets very impatient with reading as his eyesight's not the best & it's just not 'him'...he can get on without it.

It may be difficult at the moment but it will get easier so hang in there, and don't do what my wife an I did! One of us would be about to crack so to lessen the guilt we would provoke each other into an argument until we would both say we can't go on like this, get some fags and within a few days we were trapped again.

No, don't worry...we're not going to do that...we're way to into this quit. We failed before, we are NOT going to do it again. There are no excuses for going back to Nick O'Teen...we've managed to get through the death of 2 cats, having 2 cars that had to be trashed & have faced the prospect that we may have to move out because of suspected subsidence & not ONCE has the thought of having a cig crossed our minds...the E cigs have been great but we hardly touch them any more. We'll weather this storm like we've weathered the others
