Day 8 of my quit just completed.

All the old habits of going out for a smoke, looking for a lighter etc are no longer bothering me...

Needed some advice though. I am still using an e-cig quite regularly especially after meals... should i be trying to get off this as well and if yes then whats the best time ?

Well done on 8 days Sim. I didn't use an e-cig so can't help you with that....I used to just stuff my face with chocolate after a meal This need wore off after a few weeks - perhaps yours will? Is your e-cig nicotine free or not?

thanks guys this makes a lot of sense. My partner has been making me feel guilty about the e-cig saying that I havent really quit if I am using the e-cig. Sometimes it demotivates me so I think that well if I havent quit then I might as well have the real thing and stop torturing myself. The e-cig I use has nicotene in it but gives nowhere near the hit that a normal fag does.

Sim, if you're off real fags then you've quit You've got plenty of life ahead of you to knock the e-cig on the head...keep at it, you're doing great

Don't feel guilty about the e-cig, because it doesn't contain all the harmful cr*p that a "real" fag does. I think you are doing really well and you can tackle the e-cig later.

You are doing well and have no reason to feel guilty. Has your gf ever been addicted? If not, maybe you could show her this website and then she would maybe understand.
