Hiya Sweet
That's normal, don't worry too much 'cos it goes!!
You are definitely not missing out, we all feel like we were but it's not true!!
Drink some water, breathe deeply, "smoke" a straw or something and that should help
If you think about it though you're having a shower - by tonight you can sniff your hair and it will still smell nice - you couldn't have said that 2 days ago, you won't spend about £8 you don't need to on things that will make you ill, smell of smoke, age you, take your sense of taste and smell away - there's nothing positive about it!!
I have had a shower....I was crying in the shower-how crazy??? well I am off to work, it is going to be a long day....will take your advice and drink lots of water today xxx
But, this journey to fag-freedom can be a bumpy ride. As much as you can feel low at times, the low times are totally outweighed by the high times, the times when you feel elated and so proud of yourself....remember that, the next time that the Nicodemon comes knocking!
.....and don't forget how happy folks here will be to hear of you conquering all of these battles along the way!
Do something to distract your mind and the craving will go away. Don't let the craving eat away at you!
.....and another thing:D...you have to deal with the habit of smoking, as well as the addiction. It may be that when you have your coffee, you are missing the habit of having the fag, too.
So drink your coffee, enjoy it for what it is, rather than for the fag that used to go with it.
You can do it, SweetB. Bash that old Nicodemon and all of his sneaky tricks to make you miss him.

That's not crazy hun, I was in my car screaming like a toddler who's lost her sweeties *that's* crazy
Hi SweetB, I used to get up an hour before I needed to so that I could cram in three fags and two coffees :o, now I give myself just enough time to shower, dress and get out, I do have a coffee and if my partner makes it I can smell it from upstairs, stopping the ciggies has brought new meaning to "Wake up and smell the coffee". The benefits will come and the feeling of loss will go away, at the moment the nicotine receptors in your brain are throwing a tantrum, deal with them like a two year old, they'll soon get the idea that you are not giving in to them
It's all as others say normal reactions. I don't work at the moment and I use to lay in bed not wanting to get up because of that morning fag !
My poor other half has been to hell and back with my crying outbursts, temper, moodiness, monster that I never knew existed in me. I could not do anything routine because it reminded me of smoking, and when I was trying my hardest not to think about it, I'd dream about it !
Keep telling yourself and reminding yourself the damage it does to you, I used to google images smoking damage, read about the cancers it causes.
When you brush your teeth in the mornings that freshness will last so much longer. You will smell so lovely.
It's all about stages and you are at the worse stage at the moment but please stick with it because I for one never thought I'd say this but it DOES GET EASIER !
I know it's hard because you are at work, but think of places to go where no one smokes, shopping centres, restaurants gyms etc that's the ONE thing I love about not smoking is The TIME you save and being able to go to this places and stay as long as it takes !
Heya im sure ur doing really well.... when id missplace my ecig id liturally scream in my partners face... for a min later find out I left it in the kitchen or where ever.... do whatever you need do do!
Sorry to hear your having a tough day, but if you feel like crying - then have a cry. I've had quite a few over the last few weeks and I usually feel much better afterwards.
I have got through the day...I have left many victims on the way-BUT I have made it! I have been reading your comments at work and couldn't reply-work policy...but you're encouragement has helped so much!
I am dreading this evening...time seems to go so slow, so will be on here reading tips, messages and other peoples stories.....
My worst crave today made me feel as if a thousand spiders were crawling all over my skin and my eyes were popping out of my head.....Day 3 tomorrow, hope it gets' easier, my will power can only take so much xxx
SweetB......hang on in there. Less than 2 hours to go and you will be on Day 3. How about that? This morning you were so low, but if you can hang on until you go to bed, well, imagine how proud you will feel about having got Day 2 under your belt.
It isn't a walk in the park, as I said in a post yesterday, but to get to smoke-freedom you have to first travel this bumpy road. There will be highs and lows, laughter and tears.....it's all a part of it. But the highs that you feel when you don't give in to the smelly little Nicodemon, and the highs when you go to bed knowing that you've got another day done are worth it.
As for the laughs, well, some are based on things like how we all used to smell when we smoked  :D. I mentioned my ashtray the other day; it was a plastic milk carton, half filled wih water, into which I dropped my fag ends. When it was full, I'd screw the lid back on, wrap it up in two plastic bags and put it in the wheelie bin. What a revolting palaver that was. I hasten to add that this was always outside and not in the house.
You will do it, SweetB. Accept that the cravings are just Nicodemon trying to tempt you back. I found that if I thought that way, then the cravings really did shrink away to almost nothing. He is testing you. Tell him to sling his hook (or words to that effect :D).
