Morning all,
This is the last day of week one for me. I woke up at stupid o'clock this morning as my cold has developed into full on (man) flu and I haven't been sleeping especially well.
Night before last I went to bed with a hot water bottle, some shiver and shakes going on and kept waking up every couple of hours from some very vivid fever dreams to relieve myself of some of the buckloads of water I'd been downing throughout the evening.
I haven't thought about smoking since the cold kicked in, Friday morning my throat was insanely sore, first stop before work was to get some lockets and parcetamol. I'm not normally keen on taking tablets but needs must and all that, also very proud of myself for doing a full weeks work as could easily have rung in and hibernated/sulked at home.
I wouldn't exactly be a poster child for the giving up smoking forums at present but I'm hoping that will change as I move into next week!
On the plus side I am bizarrely impressed at my levels of mucas production as I feel this is some kind of visual cue that my body is expelling all the nasties that I have built up over the years.
