So my big big fear of quitting is putting on weight and my appetite is certainly through the roof.

Ok so i accept its only very very early days but i did my first weigh in today - 3 weeks in

NO WEIGHT GAIN - exactly the same to the pound

Just the kick i needed to keep going:o

Thanks guys and gals.

Max - i've always had a real love affair with food which will never change and i do eat huuuuuuuuge volumes and constantly eat. Ask the men i work with - i could eat any of them under the table! But......my choices tend to be fairly wise but not rabbit food:p. I never buy take aways, ready meals or processed food (jars etc), always use wholemeal pasta, rice and bread and i make everything from scratch and use lots of spices. Simple easy but tasty food. I try and limit to one bar of chocolate a day which is a killer now but fill up on things like sugar free jelly, yoghurts, chicken, tins of tuna & salmon, smoked salmon, bananas, oat cakes and peanut butter (yum) and highlights hot chocolate.

Im no gym bunny but i do walk my canine best friend every morning for 30 minutes and have upped my walking since quitting - just 15 mins here 15 mins there. For me its about maintaining daily excercise rather than throwing myself into a gym or a class which i know i will give up on after a few weeks.;)

No alcohol during the week but love me wine at the weekends:)

It seems to work for me but lets hope im not in for a big shock when i stand up on the scales in 2 weeks time
