So this morning i woke up and i opened a packet of my Mums cigs. Inside phillip Morris brands there are now these cards with Pro-smoking propaganda on them! leading to the website above. It made me really angry. This one had a photo of people standing in the cold with slogan 'where to smoke'? and the smokers looking miserable.
I thought oh my god! good old BIG TOBACCO are now tugging on our 'outrage' emotions to divert the attention away from why quit, to why smoke! like 'you should be proud its not shameful'. I found it disgusting anwyays.
So disgusting actually that i stumped out that cig and quit again then. I thought no way! this is just a joke and I don't want to support it anymore.
so i am back anyways guys woooo lol happy quitting xxx

My other half bought a packet on Friday and I noticed the little card inside. It's been a while since I've seen one of those!
Poor smokers don't know what to do with themselves. You feel like you should give up because it's expensive and bad for your health, but then you're being given the message that smokers are hard done by and we should all protest!!
I am so so glad that I no longer have to feel guilty for smoking. I no longer have to make excuses for why I do so. And I no longer feel the need to complain for being singled out as some leper who smells bad.
I did used to buy stickers to go over the health warnings though.
Come on, let's do it this time!!
I remember getting similar cards a few years back but it's been ages since they last had them in. The one that was in Jonny's Marlboros on Friday was basically saying that smokers are hard done by and had the web address that Nikki mentioned.

Must have been when I was smoking something else - I used to change brands quite a lot.
Very dimly remember getting loyalty points in some (L+B or Mayfairs I think?) but the whole being underage thing meant they weren't a lot of use
Max love your 'stop fannying about' thats what i always say to Steffi (mrs will power) and she always says it to me...............thats our little saying :D:D:D
But hearing somebody else say it, just makes me laugh NICE ONE MAX
LOL Will. And Nikki I meant it nicely I am sure you realise. When it comes to stopping poisoning yourself there is only one time to stop and that is RIGHT NOW.
I like the expression Will, as it describes what I spend most of my time doing -sod all,and being very unproductive-'fannying about'
It always reminds me of the cop in The Thin Blue Line
