Ah Vikki sorry to hear you've got the flippin flu!
Same thing happened to me last time I quit, I was furious! Stopping smoking is supposed to reduce flu and colds etc!!! To get one straight after quitting is like a kick in the teeth and it sucks.
But don't get disheartened - stay strong - you can do this!
People keep saying it will get better they can#t all be lying surely!!!?!?

I can assure you it does get so much better!!! I felt pretty awful for a few weeks of my quit but it passed and now it's much better!!! It is hard to believe when things aren't great but try have faith and persevere because it really is worth it!!!
Hi there! Well, i made day 7. I am very glad about that.
I am just struggling with the flu and i am so irritated the last two days, i really just feel like crying...
I just have to get through the day.
Well done to everyone still going and to those whom couldn't, well, try again. You will be ok.
I broke down crying so many times during the first couple of weeks. Many times for no reason at all. I even thought about going back to smoking because I was kind of feeling like a nut nut. Thank goodness the whole crying thing went away - it was kind of embarassing. Funny when I think about it now. Don't fall into nicotine's trap - you will get past it - fight and win. I promise you it does get better - and smoking won't make the flu go away. Tomorrow you start week 2! Fantastic!
