I feel like it's been a long while since I posted. Time seems to disappear so quickly sometimes! I hope you're all doing well and I plan to have a good nosey through the forum later
This weekend was quite a tough one actually, craving-wise. Well, I can't really call them cravings to be honest. It isn't like the first month or so when you feel as though you need to smoke. It's just a feeling of fancying a smoke. I tried to explain it to the OH last night, as he suggested that I keep my e-cig close by. But I don't think there is anything that would make me physically pick up a cigarette and smoke it, if you know what I mean. It's just my head telling me that it would be a nice thing to do.:rolleyes:
I think I might just refresh my head with some Allen Carr and, to be fair, I haven't been on here for a while. Usually a good fix of this forum keeps my thoughts on the straight and narrow!
Anyway, all I needed was the smell of second hand smoke to waft past and that was enough to snap me back to the land of 'smoking kills and stinks a lot'. So no harm done!
I hope you're all great and enjoyed another smokefree weekend! xxx

Hiya hun
Glad you're still on the wagon!!
It's odd, but I'm feeling exactly the same thing as you are, and the smell of smoke - eepers. it really puts me off too!!
Am getting that off and on, but it'll pass.
It's odd, but like you I don't think I'm going to smoke again either - it's just the feeling that it would be "nice" some of the time.

Totally agree
There were times this weekend when a few friends were sparking up now and then and the smell of live smoke really made my mouth water. But I didn't feel that urgency to grab one and spark it up.
It was just a "that would be nice" feeling. Very odd.
Definately time for a re-cap of the old Allen Carr I think!
We're bound to feel this way now and then for a while.
I think I'm going to take my e-cig away on holiday with me this year. We go away for two weeks and the OH is likely to smoke that bit more, so I think it would be a good precautionary measure to take it with me.
I'm fine again today and it really hasn't bothered me, but this is why the forum is great. You can just have a bit of a rant and read posts. It really does the trick!

How was your weekend? Get up to much? xxx
Am probably a bit odd but the smell of smoke is a huge *ick* for me now, but seeing somebody "enjoying" a fag really kicks at me. Not going to listen to it 'cos I know perfectly well I'm only 1 fag away from 20+ a day but you're right it's going to take a while to reprogramme ourselves!! We've been smokers since we were teens so it's going to take more than 5-6 months to undo the "fags=nice" thing. :/
Definitely a good idea to take your e-cig on holiday *just in case* although hopefully you won't need it!!
I'm on the Step 2 patches now, and flipping heck I can feel the difference, am trying to keep Grumpy Gem away
Had a pretty good weekend thanks, except making a prat of myself on Saturday night
Good to hear you are doing well Sarah and have moved onto the 'fancy a fag' stage from the 'need a fag' stage
The 'fancy a fag' stage lasts seconds or at most, minutes and not hours or days as with 'need a fag' so you have to roll with the rather light blow, deflect it over your shoulder dismiss the thought and move on and it will be forgotten.
Yes, I definately enjoy this stage a lot more than the last one!

Emotions + alcohol don't mix
How about you? xxx
Ooooh, step 2. Not far off now hun and you'll be throwing those patches out of your life! I wouldn't worry about grumpy Gem, in the long run she will be much happier!
Ahhh yes, the old getting drunk and bearing our souls. I hate that. Makes me feel terrible the next day I tend to stick to tipsy stage, as I'm still bouncy and happy then!!
I had a great weekend thanks, apart from little nico (and I mean little nowadays) taking a seat on my shoulder now and then!

Good isn't it *YAY*
Lol, I've got to be careful 'cos after 6 months I can't exactly use the "quitting smoking" excuse can I?

I do too usually, although to be fair that's sort of slipped a bit lately
But it does make you feel a right idiot afterwards. My fab mood sort of crashed and *eek*

Yay for a great weekend!!
When Nic pops up again stick your fingers in his eyes and tell him to go forth and multiply
