Hi everyone, I can't quite believe I'm here again! Day1!
I stopped n the 13th January 2012. I lasted until 23rd December 2012 when I was at my works Christmas night out! Why I don't really know but I was pretty intoxicated so I will put it down to that. I then thought I could smoke just when drinking like a social smoker..... Wrong it soon came back, the guilt was Erebus I was enjoying it too much. So I've been back n them fully since March, month 4 and I've decided enough is enough! I really have noticed the money difference! I am determined this time and once I get in to the same position as last year. Will know never to Make this silly decision again!

Hi Martin, we'll all been there many times, as the saying goes "when the drinks in, the whits out!"
I also convinced myself of the "I can be a social smoker" and just like you, I ended up back on them full time.
I'm now also back in day 1 and my fear now is not with alcohol but with that feeling of confidence, I've done so well, I could just have one and quit again which doesn't work at all!
MrsMash09 and Max414 thanks your for your support! Its so good to Know we're all in it together and Were going to beat this addiction. It's been 25 hrs since my last cigarette! Lying in bed can't sleep! Not been like this in a long time! Weird. I'm using patches but don't know if its anything to do with it.
Anyway just checking in. Here's to day 2, fingers crossed!!
I quit for 5 months and started smoking after drinking too if everyone in the world quit smoking all at the same time, quitting would be a doddle! I struggle to sleep too, download a go to sleep hypnosis track - works a charm for me. It's just someone talking about stuff that isn't overly exciting that knocks me out lol.
Just wondering do I keep posting in this thread or do we move on to day 2?
Manged so far today with no slip ups so its been 1 day 19hrs 47 mins 58 secs! I keep my app close beside to give me motivation. And obviously with all of you!
Any way here's to day 3 love it when it all starts to add up!
Day 2 is excellent! day 1 under the belt and tomorrow its day 3 and you know from there things pick up and its just down to you rather than the nico-demon!
Remember in those dark moments that quiting is easy it staying quit that is hard! The chain has to break somewhere you can choose where or let years of tobacco abuse decide for you!
Good luck tomorrow and remember you are in charge not the fags
