As with several past nights, I was insomniac last night and was surfing the net for some hours reading about smoking.
I found out that even one puff would force me to relapse. I became so depressed knowing that I can't smoke anymore, I even thought I'd better remain a smoker than always having to fight against temptation.
I was at holidays in a beach city, at night I went to the seaside, and the dark black sea was so gloomy that I couldn't do anything but to jump in the car, drive and buy cigs.
When I returned to the beach and lit my cigarette, I became so downhearted because IT WASN'T WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL! It made me light headed and feel nausea.
It is a real big temptation falsely thinking that the cig of relapse would relieve and relax us so much, but the fact is that it is completely vice versa. If you have ever relapsed in the past you know what I'm talking about, just try to remember that before lighting the cig...

So true and remember that each cig has a delayed reaction whereas it makes you agitated 20 mins after you have smoked it which in turn makes you crave another and another ect and you are then locked into craving over and over again, 20 times a day. Once you quit the craves/longings get less and less and you free yourself.
I'm getting peeved with all the little annoyances going on around me, the cat drying, the dog fretting, the builder drilling, a van door outside, miss-typed words, silly mistakes on and on, the more frustrated I get the more it gets to me and the more mistakes I make.
I need to step back and take a breath, just not of smoke. ECig, cuppa and a biccy instead. I WILL NOT have that first puff that will set me back over three days!

Someone said on here (think it was Allen Carr originally) that each cigarette satisfies the need created by the one you last smoked.
The longer you go without one the worse you feel when you have one. Not to mention the self guilt. It makes you feel like a horrible person. Like you committed a crime. Self guilt is the worst.
