Hi thank you all for the words of encouragement,

I have a question , Does anyone else have a shortness of breath and feel they are unable to get breath back?

This started yesterday . Day 18

Can't say I had but I've practised deep breathing. It's probably your lungs clearing out but you should perhaps ask the doc.

yep pretty normal to experience shortness of breath and it can last up to a year apparently its your lungs clearing out all the tar and other crap that are in them

I am three months on and still suffering with shortness of breath. It seems pretty normal really, though my sister suffered from the same and discovered she had asthma (only mildly) when she stopped smoking. Not for long but it was definately linked to her stopping. See your gp if worried, but it does take a while for your lungs to repair themselves

Yep, I think Gary is right. I had it, and it was probably into my fifth month when I noticed it had calmed down substantially and now I don't really notice it at all. But a month in, I was thinking "woah, just exactly what damage have I done here?"

But fine now thank goodness. All very typical Ltfm but the usual advice is if worried then see a doc. Day 18? Good stuff!
