Tropical Storm Andrea anyone??

Well when it rains it pours, literally!! So check this out.... we are in the middle of the first named storm of the hurricane season. Under tornado watch right now. :eek:

When I asked the big guy last night for help to keep me from thinking about smoking today, I didn't mean send a damn hurricane geez!! The winds were blowing between 40-50 on my way to work. I look like a drowned rat right about now, and I certainly have no desire to stand outside for a ciggie so I guess the plan worked eh???

Anyway, welcome to day 4 looks like I'll be sailing through it! Literally ~Hee Hee !

Stay safe! Today, here in Ohio, the weather is doing a fantastic impression of British weather, it is raining, the British, constant, grey and dreary rain! I regret complaining that it was 90 degrees last week! I am British though, so complaining about the weather is in my blood!

Wow i havent experienced anything like that before. The worst winds i've had to deal with is from my lovely wife after a curry!!!

Hey All !!! Well the storm is passing so to speak, lost power for a bit but all good now. We had two tornadoes touch down within 5 miles of my office so that was a bit wild...

Now there are three huge fire trucks on the side of my office building and they have cordoned off the street and the fire people are all putting on the white suits :eek: One of the trucks is a HAZMAT vehicle. What is going on around here?

Trying to convince one of the smokers to go out and see but so far no takers.

Was the storm that bad? It is moving up the coast towards me. Should be here later tomorrow. I am in Virginia Beach. I have a dental appointment in the afternoon...maybe it will be cancelled.
