had a night at home last night with my non smoking family. It felt great that I could get closer to them. Usually I would sit on a seat the other side of the living room so they wouldnt smell me. I bet they did anyway!
Got more patches from the nurse 4 boxes for £7(something) not too shabby

Lol, I can remember clutching coffee cups ('cos coffee and fags smell vaguely smiliar) showering myself in Impulse and cooking up all kinds of reasons why I needed to wash my hair in the afternoon so I didn't get caught!!
Daft innit?
Anyway about your patch, have you tried waving it in the air a bit before you stick it on? That's meant to help - although yesterday I had a hell of an itch just below my bra :eek:
Does it give you a dead arm feeling?
Mine did so I stuck them on my ribcage instead (and in summer they're a lot less visible there) and it's fine
i put one on my stomach once. Still itched like crazy!
and my tummy moved everytime i bent down and stood up etc
I havent tried waving them, ill give it a go tomorrow. Did you wave them? Did you find it made a difference?
And yes, the showers hahaha its nice not having to make up excuses!
xx
Ooh i put them on my ribs, so there's bone underneath - just under where your bra band sits and it dosn't peel off much there - found they were a right pain on my arms!! Although sellotape helps if they start liting
I didn't need to wave them (am thick skinned :p) but it's meant to help!!
I used to get red itchy marks until I found out about waving them and it worked. Some parts of the body seem to be more sensitive than others and some brands of patches have better sticking power. The free ones I got from the nurse were niquitin and kept falling off so I changed to nicorette bought on ebay to save money. Also saved by buying only the strongest and cutting them up as I reduced the amount.
My nurse asks me which brand I want. Im using the Nicquitin ones. I dont see the difference in the brands at the moment. Ive had 3 different nicquitins now: the circle ones, the clear ones and the skin colour ones (which arent exactly skin colour lol)
The clear ones I found less sticky, I might ask for circle ones again.
I forgot to wave it this morning, too distracted with a thunder storm oh how I love storms <3

Am using Niquitin ones - I get them off ebay so it's kind of pot luck which type they are lol.
One thing I've noticed is that while the clear and skin ones have a different code on (obviously) the clear and thinflex ones don't!!
Im having a bad day, my work colleague has decided to be a b*tch and just be generally moody and nasty towards people.
Its hard to keep an upbeat attitude around people like that. I wish I was sabrina the teenage witch sometimes, Id point at her and turn her into a flower.
Her negativity is stressing me out and depressing me. Think I should talk to the boss, but you cant change someones personality and I think if she had a word with her she probably be even more of a git towards me :-((
That's not good Sammi. Just ignore her for today. Think of her as nasty nic's evil sister. She's trying to get at you but you aren't going to let her. Obviously you can't punch or kick her (cos she's a girl) but you can make sure she doesn't affect you.
If she is still behaving this way in a few days then I would either speak to her about it (if you have that sort of relationship) - perhaps something horrible is going on in her life (or is she always like this?). Otherwise have a word with your boss. But I would wait to see if it continues first (might just be a blip - or you might be more irritable than usual due to the quit).
Well why not just ask her if everything is ok. You could ask her really sweetly if she is ok. This might give her a subtle hint that she's being miserable - or you could just ask her bluntly why she is being such a misery guts.
