Interesting article from last month (I know it's the Mirror but hey) about new German and Canadian research on the benefits of stopping smoking at different ages. At 54, I just got in on the 6 added years of life bonus. Yay. :)

"A recent study from Canada has shown that if you can manage to give up smoking by the time you're 44 you can live nearly as long as people who have never smoked."

Awesome! I managed to do it just before my 43rd birthday. If I'm not here well into my nineties I shall take the Mirror to court ;)

That's excellent!!

I heard a similar one on the radio not long before I quit and back then it was a licence almost to keep smoking but now am very glad I didn't.
