Not posted for ages as work & home keeping me a little busier than I would like. Dead chuffed though ..... 2 months today !
I have probably missed a few milestones for some of the regulars on here so a huge well done for keeping on track with your quit
Congratulations to those who have recently taken the life enhancing ( yes it will be better ! ) decision to quit smoking .Even if its not your first quit, its the keeping at it and coming back even more determined which will give you a fighting chance.
I definitely do not think about smoking as much as I did in the first month of my quit . I have proven to myself that I can quite happily manage a smoke free night out and I've even have had a weekend away, where to be honest it was a relief not to have to think about when I could have a ciggie without friends or family telling me off. I am however very annoyed with myself and cannot stop thinking ... why did I not quit sooner when I was younger ?
I hope that I can move on at some point away from that thought and just at least be satisfied that I have quit and will NEVER EVER smoke again !!
Stay strong and keep on track

Glad to see all going well for you too... 40 days on the horizon for you in a couple of days The first week must seem a lifetime ago now and you have been a fab contributor to this forum from the word go. You always take time to try to help everyone regardless of where they are in their quit, so thank you for keeping us all enterained and motivated !
Well done you. Great to see that you're still going strong.
I think we all have that element of regret, once we realise how much nicer life is without cigarettes. But hey ho, at least we've twigged to it now, eh?
Thank you Helen and a hey nonny nonny to you as well !!
I know that you are right and most people would have that sense of regret once its all clicked into place. I'm not normally one for looking back and having regrets, but the elation of quitting smoking has been a little tinged for me by that annoying thought of 'why the flippin' heck didn't I do it sooner ??'
Anyway not going to dwell upon it any longer !!!
thank you too for your continued support ,its great that you take the time to post on here when you are a long term quitter.
Yep as a Bath boy I will concur with the greatness of you Bristolians
Where in Bristol out of interest?
Well done Donna,am immensely proud of you, striking out in style now!X
Thanks Max ... yep us bristolians are doing great and good to see you going so well for the Baff contingency ( I never had any doubt that you would still not be clocking up the quit days )
Donna ( twixt bristol & bath .. 5 miles each way )
Have definitely played TTFC over the years and from memory most if not all of the age groups are strong teams. Given my age  I suspect that my son who plays is older than your boys, he is in the U15's.
Hope your boys do well if they are playing this weekend .. at least you are not amongst some of the parents puffing away on the touchlines
Was just thinking about you the other day and hoping you were still going strong! Stupid me and go you! Of course you ruddy are! Keep it up you are round great!!
Thank you TVH lovely to hear from you and glad all going well for you too :)I've a few Friday night glasses of wine on board so promise not to ramble on.
Will be looking out for your future posts to see how you are doing but I've no doubt that you have it all under control
