Well I'm now over 12 hours into my quit! Quite pleased with myself except for failing first thing this morning but I just applied a new patch and had a lozenger whenever I had the notion!
My challenge for day 2 is to beat the morning crave, it's my worst! Anyone have any helpful tips? I'm really don't want to wear the patch all night as I had crazy dreams last night and feel like I didn't sleep a wink!
Hope your all doing well!

Hiya, day 2 was the worst thought for me too, but just changed a few things around in the old routine and was ok? I'm on day 7 now, never thought I would ever get there but I have, I know I will never do it again because it is not necessary? You know you can go a few hours, just add an extra hour at a time, before you know it you'll be on day 3, good luck honey xx
I started with 24 hour patches and found they upset my sleep too. I've been using 16 hour patches for just over a week and find that the morning craves are no worse than I had with the 24 hour patches and I'm sleeping better too.
Feeling well rested is a good thing when fighting this battle. No one is at their best after a bad night. Try all the usual tricks to get a good nights sleep; warm bath, book, relaxing music, milky drink etc

I keep my patches in my bedside drawer and stick one on first thing while I have my cup of tea and loaf around for a bit. I find staying in bed that little while longer is helping me break that association with getting up and going straight outside for a smoke.
Totally agree mornings can be difficult, I used 24 hour patches, and so didnt get cravings. But I did stay lie longer, back to bed with brekkie, then shower etc and straight out, not even going into conservatory, that's where I smoked at back door. So, breaking of habit worked for me.

This!
And find something to keep your hands busy, from a stress ball to pieces of straws cut up into cigarette-sized tubes (seriously! I used to "smoke" these when I was quitting - really helped keep my hands occupied).
Also give yourself a break and be kind to yourself. Cravings aren't easy so get that frothy coffee you love from Starbucks or have a bar of chocolate. It won't be every day but you might feel like you need a bit of a treat on Day 2. And you will absolutely deserve it!
Thanks everyone for your replies! I've my patch beside me so I can put in on first thing and going to settle in bed until junior wakes up usually I get up 30 mins earlier to drink tea, smoke and get ready so I'll just have to start a new routine tomorrow
