So I've just completed the first 48 hours of my new life without cigarettes.
In all honesty, I haven't been too bad these past 48 hours, a bit irritable but nothing too major. I'm sure it has helped with me having the flu/sore throat, but I am starting to get better now.
I can tell that today is going to be hard. I brought my tobacco to work with me yesterday, in case of emergency. Today I left it at home. I somehow felt safer knowing that the tobacco was there, and I could have one whenever I wanted (even though I didn't). Maybe it was a mistake to leave the tobacco at home? Or maybe it is time to bin it for good?
I have never been more determined in my life to start a fresh, smoke free. But I am certainly looking forward to today being over.
How's everyone else doing today?

Thank you DoodleBugRoach. That sounds like a good plan, bin the tobacco but keep just 1 roll up as a kind of safety-net. A way to trick my mind into not worrying.
I will get home and get rid of all traces of the bad habit.
How are you finding it now, nearly 4 months in?
Hi Craig
Main thing I can say is it is a lot ... LOT easier
I'm not kidding myself and I'm not "over it" by any stretch of the imagination but I'm heading in the right direction and enjoying the way I feel physically more and more....little things keep surprising me over time
It's like a lottery that we win every day we stay quit.
You have your youth, best weapon you could hope for....you got this in the bag.
Wishing you all the strength in the world for your quit mate
Well done craig, sound like your doing great, at your age you will reap more benefits by quitting money wise and health wise. It's hard to quit but I am sure we can all testify well worth doing.
