Morning!Woke up after lovely sleep during which I had some very entertaining dreams. I'd binged on camomile tea last night to ensure I slept as I barely got a wink on night 1. Had a slightly rough throat first thing but hubby made me feel better by saying how nice I smelt now I'm not smoking.
Have done a few chores including phoning the passport service to enquire where my sons new passport is. We all applied for new ones and all came yesterday apart from my sons:confused: That got me a bit stressy and induced some fairly strong cravings. Must resist. Am chewing gum so hard my jaw aches.
Hope everyone else is staying strong and finding all the positives of being smoke free

Ooh, it's hard when situations like that happen in the first few days, because we're so conditioned into believing that a cigarette removes the tension.
Don't let those kind of craves fool you - it's really tough now, but once you get past the first couple of weeks you will discover that you're much calmer without smoking than you used to be when you were puffing away to 'de-stress'!
And sadly, having a fag doesn't make bureaucracy move any faster

Hang in there. You're doing great.

I agree with what you say about feeling calmer. I gave up for 3 years about 5 years ago and one of my children commented then that I was less grumpy
I think I felt grumpy a lot of the time because I was always hanging out for the next smoke and if anything got in the way of it I would get very irritable. Also I feel that when I am suffering withdrawal I do make a conscious effort to stay calm and sweet tempered ( I do try, honest;))
