Hi all - first post

I hope this is the right section of the forum for this, my introduction:

Hello stop smoking forum, I did have an account on here before however I forgot my login details after a house move and a whole host of other problems, so I'm back! (And unfortunately smoking again)

I quit for two weeks cold turkey a very long while ago, and it didn't seem too hard yet I turned to smoking on a stressful and emotional time of my life. I'm back and I hope you can all give me the great support I appreciate on my journey to quitting smoking, of course I will do the same!

A little info on me and my relationship with smoking:

[*]I'm 21 years of age

[*]Male

[*]Currently work in finance

[*]Smoked since I was 15!

[*]I smoke around 10-15 per day

[*]I'm quitting to feel healthier, smell nicer, feel better about myself and of course the benefit of saving money.

[*]I'm also trying to quit while I can before I see any "serious" consequences of my smoking habit

I finished my last cigarette packet today after work and hope to make it my last.

I hope you can give me a warm welcome as I find the support on the forum really amazing, I look forward to meeting you all :)

Dan

  • Hello Gallows.

I am not in a position to give any advice as I am still smoking but I am preparing for a quit and finding this forum very welcoming and helpful.

May I just say how very mature you seem for a 21 year-old! At that age, I had a great many terribly unhealthy habits, smoking being one of them, and it took me until I was a lot older to grow up and start cleaning up my act. Much kudos to you Sir!

All the very best for your quit.

  • Gallow, I started my quit again today......wish I had done it years ago. Your doing sooooooooooooooooooooo the right thing. xx

Wish you all the strength in the world for your quit.
