Day 2

Day 2 has been surprisingly ok! Get the odd voice of habit saying 'i'll do this then go out for fag' but i have managed to quite easily say no i dont do that anymore, then the voice goes away. I think the patches have helped to take the edge off the cravings, still cant believe i havent needed to take a lozenge. Must admit i could hardly sleep last night, my feet were burning hot! Hopefully just a bit of circulation getting back to normal. Im actually starting to enjoy being in control for a change. Ready for whatever comes my way cos im in it for the longhaul. Best of luck quitters, we can do this!!!!

Hey Denise! keep it going, day 2 and that is 2 of the hardest days out of the way (I think anyway) you take it one day at a time and before you know it a week has gone and then a month and so on. Enjoy the freedom!

  • Well done quit buddy :)

Most of the day has been ok for me but I have been very cross and irritable for the last hour or so. Just need to remind myself of my very good reasons for doing this. Think I might get an early night too. Still eating lots

    Roll on day three!

  • Thanks to you all. I keep thinking that nobody ever died from cravings and the song 'what doesnt kill you makes you stronger' comes to mind, lol. Not saying everyday will be easy but it will eventually get easier. We need to think positive and give ourselves a pat on the back. :)
