Am amazed now looking back at the bad times I had earlier in my quit how much better it is now - it really *does* get so muc easier
Have saved over £340, not smoked at least 840 fags - probably nearer 860  and not inhaled loads of nasties!! Even though I smoked "lights" it's still a scary amount of tar in them.
Am definitely feeling more like a non-smoker now, still "miss" it a bit but that's only because I've spent almost the last 13 years training myself that a fag makes everything better, know it doesn't and so I'm not going to have one!!
Next step is to go onto Step2 patches!!
I want to say a big thank you to everyone on here for your help and support 'cos I'm sure it's made the difference between me staying quit and having yet another failed quit

The pure joy of escaping this damned smoking lark oozes out from your posts every time!.Absolutely marvellous
I am right on your heels though Gem ( well coming up 4 weeks) so keep peddling
Thanks Max!!
It's great not to have to go out and shiver like i used to and I do feel loads better!!
Haven't been able to get into work today 'cos it's too icy to get off my estate, and would be panicking now 'cos I'd be running out of fags but that's something I don't have to worry about.
I'm looking toward to my first mile stone the 1 month soon
What are you planning to do with all the money u have saved??
Method: patches
Quit date 3/1/13
Oh well done Becky, it feels great to get to milestones like that!!
Even better when smoking gets further behind
Lol, well I've spent my savings on clothes, shoes and bags, plus a few other treats. Am thinking at the minute that I deserve something nice for beating my smoking habit.
The stupid thing is that I'd probably have ended up going to the garage shop on my hands and knees if I still smoked - or bought a carton (£75 a go  ) of fags when they started threatening bad weather. It really is so daft when you look at it like that!!
Lol, I'm not blonde any more - was until I was about 5 - but that parking definitely looks like mine!!
That is fantastic, Gemma, I am glad to hear it gets easier. Well done, you must feel very proud, I know I would
Thanks Jane!!
It definitely does get easier, and I'm findign loads of good things about having quit and the only negative is the little voice in my head (I'm not mad, honest) that says "I want a fag" from time to time. It's getting quieter though
Lol, I'm a mix of proud and amazed!! It's the first quit I've done for me though so I'm hoping it's the one
