It's been 26 hours since my last cigarette and in all honesty, I'm about ready to smash someones face in, the cravings come and go, right now it is so bad.
I want to cry my eyes out, I've just bought some haribo lmao so I'm going to indulge in those!
Here is to health and day 2! Which I'm not looking forward too.
Oh god

Yep day 2 I also found was a "I want to kill the world day" but it soon passed and things did get easier with time although in that time there was other days like day 2 that came and went, keep strong and one day at a time.
welcome striker, what Jos says and also be kind to yourself and dont look too far ahead, it will scare you off, take it minute by minute if you have to.
Hi striker.... its great here for reading others posts or responses to let us know we r not going mad and that wanting to kill someone is normal lol... im on day 8 and feel more irritated than other days..... dreading everyone comin home today as Ive a feeling it aint gonna be a happy home for long lol......
Even though I'm only quit a month, posts like yours remind me just what I was like a matter of just a few weeks ago. It will pass, honest to God; just stick with it and like others have said, take it in bite size portions.
Try not to get caught up in the white knuckle, teeth gritting, beat the son of a bitch, frame of mind if you can help it. It's way better to accept that mood swings and cravings will be companions for a while. Truth is they're really not that formidable and will fade in intensity fairly quickly.
Read around as well, not just on here but other resources. It really helped me to understand what this addiction was/is doing to me both physically and mentally. Self knowledge is not enough though and that's where these forums come in. Someone is always here. Some of the best people I've never met.
It will get better it's just that we can't see it at the time.
