not slept last night again and wen i did drift off i woke up in a panick like i didnt no who i was or were i was... ad it lasted for ages.... so today feel proper panicky and anxious.. fuzzy brain.. sad... getting tha confused latey that im now starting to wounder if this is an affect of giving up smoking.. as i dont even want a fag.. but it all started when i quit:(

just getting a bit sick and tired now of it all one day fine next day feeling crappy etc... even got a new symptom now my face feels like its all prickly under my skin.. (dont no if its giving up related or not) iwould of thort im into my to my 3rd month and would be feeling great.. i no it does take time for your body to heal as i have been poisionig m self for 16 years..

so if im not well in a few weeks im of the docs as im starting to get worried now as not sure if it is giving up related or id smoking mask something..

my nan swears my grandad never had any problems till he gave up the fags... gave up got a blood clot had is leg off.. then his other leg went funny went in to have that of then he died on the table... (that why why my nan wont give up) as she says somking maskes problems so she prefer to not no if she ill or not..lol

Hi Shelley,

How long is it since you stopped using the patches? It could be that you are still having some symptoms of nicotene withdrawal even though it's a while since you smoked.

I would definitely see the doctor and set your mind at rest: sometimes anxiety creates more anxiety - you worry about your health and then you feel even worse. Best to know what's what, and then you can put your best foot forward.

Sorry you're having such a crap time. Hope you feel better soon xxx

Hey Shelly,

Tomorrow makes 4 weeks since I went off the patch. I don't use any other form of NRT either. I have felt better the last few days but after several days of being off the patch I felt like I was starting over with my quit. It was horrible but it's better now. It's like I had to quit twice and it sucked! Sounds like you are going through what I went through and the days about match up as well. Hang in there cause you CAN do it!!
