Hi everyone,

I started champix today and by noon I didnt want a ciggarette!

So I have decided to just quit from right now... I usually smoke around 15-18 a day and by now im usually on number 12 but I had one this morning before my first pill and now I feel fine!

Really surprised at how well this drug works... A little anxious about the controversial side affects I have read about but hopefully I wont have any of that!!!

John

Welcome and congratulations. You've made the right decision.

Glad to hear your raring to go! Just be mindful that it is a bit of a rollercoaster journey, though you certainly seem to have the determination to succeed! Plenty of help and advice on here as and when you need it. :)

Look forward to hearing how you're getting on. :D

All the best John, I don't know about Champix myself but I do know what it's like to be a week or two without smoking...it's marvellous, worth the effort it takes! :) Good luck and use this forum, it works for me.

Hi John, I took Champix and I found them to be brilliant! There were side effects but they were tolerable and the outcome was worth it. Let us know how you go on with them and if you have any side effects like sickness and weird dreams they are very common so dont worry.
