Good Morning, Day Five! Give Me Your Best Shot...

I hope I'm not breaking some protocol by posting too often, but I do find it helpful to write down these random thoughts as they occur.

So I'm about to experience Day Five. I have to say, each day HAS been easier than the last, although I'm keeping my wits about me, knowing the potential for a major trigger could be just around the corner.

Feels like the more time I get under my belt, the stronger I'll be if and when that major trigger shows up. Could be days from now, could be weeks from now. Could even be years from now!

After all, it was a major trigger that got me to start smoking again six years ago, after many years being a non-smoker.

I hope the next time I think about breaking a long "fast" that I'll be a lot smarter than I was back then.

Meantime, I'm trying to take it one day at a time, and so far, so good. Four down, and the rest of my life to go. :)
