Is it correct that you cannot have your account deleted from this site?????

I do not want my personal details forever on the web, is there a way I can delete my account.??

I don't think you can on forums, the couple of different forums I'm on accounts arnt deleted, even if you get banned it just says banned member but everything still there... Hmmm maybe contact moderators? X

Awww thanks Lisa. That's lovely of you to say.

And yeah the internet is a funny thing, if you're a private person isn't it. If I was you I'd probably delete all info on profile and sig and leave it be if they can't delete it. Then at least you're out of it to an extent.

Go into your user CP and then, down the left hand side, click on either:

Edit your details - you can change your Custom user title (yours currently says senior member)

Or

Edit Signature - Change your signature.

I vote stay too and i don't really know you cant be all that bad.

As for closing the account, In future, think about creating a second and 3rd email address, put putting them as a forwarder to your main address, that way if you get too much junk or feel you dont want it you can deleate it instead and your main email who all your friends contact you with remains still very personal

That is true if you put something rude in your signature we would delete it, your signature that is!

If there are posts which "need dealing with" for some reason please report them using the red triangle. forum.nosmokingday.org.uk/r...

Accounts are not deleted, it wouldn't be practical as many posts are quoted and even if we could remove all posts it would leave many threads making no sense what so ever. If people wish to leave the forum we just ask that they stop posting.

At one time we had people asking for their account to be suspended, leading to the so called line of limbo, but then most of them would contact us and ask for it to be re-instated which frequently caused problems in itself due to the reaction of other members, so we have stopped doing that.

The ignore function also exists which means you don't have to see certain members posts, it is a little tricky to use at the moment as the new look seems to have introduced some bugs.

Hi Lisa, i think i met you briefly at the beginning of your quit! I do read the forum and I too have found your posts great! your a real person and it would be so nice for you to stay on here. Sorry for butting in but i find it such a shame when the nice people do goodbye posts or want to leave! Reconsider and try to sort out whats troubling you! I'm still smoke free and hopefully will have a new contract working for cancer research UK working on prostrate and lung cancer (non-smoker type lung cancer)...fingers crossed It means working in the dark though, so I may end up looking like a pale little mole thing with small eyes.

Lisa, you are entitled to your opinion the same as everyone else. Ppl wouldn't post on here if they didn't want to hear what others think.
