So i quit smoking on the 16th of Jan 2012 cold turkey.

First week was really hard then the 2nd and 3rd not too bad but now i am just passing week 5 why am i getting sudden urges to go and have a smoke??

It is really annoying me and i just feel like doing it so i stop thinking about it!!!!

Thanks

I get what you're saying,

Hi SilkySimmer - I know exactly what you're saying. I'm on day 33. I don't know whether it's an urge to smoke or a general discontent. I feel as though there has to be something to do to alleviate this.

We have to find something that we love and focus on it. I think that's what we must do - it's not about smoking & we must not succumb to such a thing.

Going outside & going for a walk or if you can't go outside taking deep breaths will suffice - I must remind myself to do these things.

I know what you mean,

i know that if i have a cig then i would feel worse but i also think that it has been over a month now and still feel deprived, i just hope it goes away.
