Have been busy cutting down the number of puffs I have on each fag, and am now down to four. Think that I will be ready to stop for good tomorrow, and frankly, I can't wait.
I have followed all of your advice, and have really been working at my mental attitude. The panic has subsided, and I feel ready to go.
I'm sure there will be some bumps along the way, but I really have to stick at it this time. I've already done a lot of damage to my lungs, and it can only get worse.
Wish me luck, and thanks for being such a great team.
Billy

Thanks for the encouragement. Apart from my six month quit last year, I have smoked for nearly 40 years. That's a long habit to break, but I have got to just see it through this time.
And I know from my previous attempt - it's not like it physically hurts, or anything! Almost all of it is in your head, at the end of the day. Well this time, I am telling my head to behave, and just do as its told.
Great to hear you feeling so resolved, Billy! It is a long habit to break, but take it from me, that just makes it all the sweeter when you do. Stay calm, and just accept those bumps for what they are. You have done it before and you will do it again. Let us know how you get on.
And Karri. Good to see you have a date! Hope it is going well.
