Right well i have been stopped for one month tomorrow cold turkey but i still think about smoking evry day and in some cases spend nearly every minute thinking about smoking!!!
am i too obsessive or is this just a normal thing that will pass with time?
I am honestly thinking that if it still feels like this in 6 months i am going back to smoking!!!!!
Thanks for any help.

Hi Silky
As I recall, I thought about smoking all the time, even as far as six weeks in.....
But guess what??? After a while I started to think of it less and less, the after about three months it all passed and here I am over a year in and I rarely think about it at all now....
So I guess what I am trying to say is stick with it and it will get easier I promise!!
It will pass after a while, I am about 5 months in and thinking about actually having a cigarette is a thing of the past.
I am sure each person is different but it will gradually get easier, for me personally it took about 3-4 weeks for my thoughts to start changing and thinking of myself as a non-smoker but even after 2 months I was reminded of old habits and triggers.
i am glad to see that people are saying that it does get better with time, reading your posts really keeps me going i just hope i dont fall off the wagon since it is now officially one month.
