I've "lurked" this forum since I went cold turkey last Thursday.
Today is my 8th day without the dreaded nicotine.
I've smoked since I was 19 years old and turned 50 at the latter half of last year.
The first 10 years I was on cigarettes and averaged 40 per day.
The last 21 years I have been on Hamlet Miniature cigars (hope it's ok to mention the name!) and was averaging 15 per day with full inhalation.
What was I thinking!
Although many of you didn't know it, you've been a great source of strength and encouragement during my "lurking" period and I just wanted to say thank you.
Here's something from the past that will hopefully give you all a good laugh...
Welcome Capitan. 8 days is a great achievement, top job.
Hamlet cigars eh? You must've been a proper whiffy smoker! No offence, but even when I smoked I couldn't stand the smell of cigars, and now they make me want to hurl!!
Keep on keeping on, the penthouse is worth all the effort.
