I just want to get it out there... I'm really struggling right now.
I know, I know, it's day 3 and the last residual nicotine is leaving the bloodstream. I'm not giving up giving up though... one cigarette is one too many.
It's the cravings, they are just static right now, I know it's a case of mind over matter. I know, I know, i know. I've been here before.
Thanks for reading

Hi Bananaskin
Keep up the good work, you might find a distraction a good idea perhaps a hot bath and an early night?
Everything will seem better in the morning, but what ever you do.....do not smoke.
After all the effort you have put in so far it would be a shame if you were to slip up!!
Hi bananaskin, well done for getting this far it is not easy but you've made it this far dont get disheartened we all have been and still going there but (WARNING CLICHE COMING) it DOES get easier.
read on here as often as you can and read about the terrible 3's many many posts on that and it is sad but true, tomorrow is another day and if it helps do as i did and early bed head under duvet (cant smoke whilst sleeping).
Don't give up giving up! Getting to day 3 is fab, I'm on day four and its a massive thing for me to have got this far!
You definitely need to do something as a distraction, get out of your smoking routine. I'm finding at work it's easier but the evenings are by far the worst! Tonight's distraction is the ironing whoop whoop
Another cliche to add to Jenni's - short term pain for long term gain!!
Some have found it's helpful to read ahead from where you currently are. Meaning that if you're reaching the end of day 3 then read others' experiences for the rest of week 1, if you're on week 2 read into week 3, etc.
Not everyone's quit is exactly the same and in fact you'd probably find that no 2 quits even by the same person are exactly the same. But there will be similarities.
Well, I'm OFFICIALLY on Day 3 now, it's started well. I have been wearing the patches for a week, even with my 2 a day 'attempt'. Throwing the baccy down the pan was a good move! If i hadn't, I would have smoked, probably.
So here we are, onwards and upwards to a healthier lifestyle!
Rochelle, no I'm not. I'm chewing 'regular' gum like a loon though
Got through a really stressful day with the little guy and the other half yesterday, and I lost a filling. Smoking wouldn't have helped though. Hell, it's all good!
Well done Bananaskin, fab news you've cut out those last 2 evils I'm on patches too, although my husband reckons the 25mg ones equate to 50 fags a day so I've started cutting them in half (I'd brought 2 weeks worth!). I've got my inhalator has standby and quite happily used it for the first few days but now I don't I just like to know its somewhere at the bottom of my bag just in case.
You're doing great, keep thinking if you got through one stressful day without smoking you can get through them all
