Hello, all! I have just joined, and I'm finding it rather cool to see my user name displayed at the bottom of the screen as the newest member! :)

I quit smoking at 9 p.m. (right before bed) on December 23rd, so that makes today my 27th day of being a non-smoker. I originally used Chantix for the first two weeks, and for the past week and half have been muddling through whist loitering about in another quit smoking forum.

I have been interested in identifying other forums that would be helpful to me as I go through this journey. An old post was linked on my other forum that brought me here.

And, one last thing. I guess I will be honest and let everyone know that quitting is still uncomfortable and difficult for me, even as I approach the end of my fourth week. (Good GRIEF! Has it really been that long???)

Welcome travellingsunny, you have come to the right place for support, information and whatever else you can need in your journey. I am at day 19 so I am not that far behind you. I was using the patch but got such a terrible rash where ever I put the dang thing that 4 days ago I went cold turkey. I am very surprised at how easy it has been for me. I went from 3 packs a day (60) to nothing. I am waiting for something to happen, it has just been to easy for me. I am ready and will never go back to being a smoker...ppat
