Well done on re-starting your quit...shows a lot of mettle to do that.

Just as and aside....although francob's views seem to upset a few people....at least he is staying honest to himself and giving his opinion however toasted he may get for it. He has a straight view on things...and doesn't sugarcoat it (reminds me of my dad). Sometimes we all need that point of view for us to be able to get to a decision we are comfortable with.

I don't see how calling someone a sanctamonious bully who is thick is reallying helping anyone to be honest and I'm getting a bit sick of name calling on this forum...hence the reference to wars......seems to be a lot of it about on the forum lately.

Sincerely I really appreciate your thoughts Carol but my friend dying hasn't made my emotions run high in terms of this forum. It would just be nice if people would stop with the name calling, it defeats the purpose of this forum and makes the job of quitting more stressful not less.

but with the written world you can only see the words and not the emotions behind so some take what is written in a different context there was a post written last year about it when some of the members got upset by what someone else had written it did get abit out of hand and someone ended up being banned which was sad as we are all hear for the same reasons support advice and in some cases a chat and form online friendships too which is an added bonus

This post in itself was not meant to be sarcastic before it is misinterpreted as such. I'm just stating facts as I see it in a neutral tone of voice and manner. However, after seeing the tone of quite a few posts lately I'm going to refrain from this website for a while and maybe have a look in a few months down the line when, hopefully this forum is back to how it was....a nice place to be! Mind you, I have to admit I am starting to agree with francob's thoughts about CT being the best way after all I have said. Think it was only the Champix that was holding me together, not very good for my self-confidence But I had to stop taking them cos I felt so ill on them I couldn't take anymore, and thought I had a life- threatening illness, so no wonder I am so moody and like a rotweiler.

But anyway, this thread is about pfaber and I still don't think he should go back to day 1 just cos of two rollies. come on pfaber, YOU ROCK XXXX

Well done on your quit pfaber I think that whether you have gone back to the start or not depends on you. For me personally, because of my previous track record I would go back to the start only to punish myself as in my mind I feel I would have cheated and if I didn't go back to the start then I worry that I would get into the mindset that it is OK to have one every now and then. However I know people that have had the one and gone on to have completely 100% successful quits and never had another one - I think it is up to you at the end of the day it is your quit.

Karri - I was interested in your reply to Zoe's post finding the best way for you to quit, which I completely agree with as although our goals are the same, no 2 quits are the same. I was just wondering what you used for this quit and how long you are into your quit?
