Thanks all,

It's because of the champix, no question in my mind. I've tried to give up CT, Gum and patches and abjectly failed MANY TIMES.

I recall reading on here about one guy who was late 50's who had smoked all his life and was giving up Cold Turkey. To me that's more impressive. Makes me feel a fraud a little bit

Well done Tropical - and keep posting. Partly because it's good for you and helps to keep you focussed. And partly because your posts are so positive and enjoyable for the rest of us to read!

You know that song - "It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it"? Well, when it comes to stopping smoking - It ain't the way that you do it, it's what you do! :p Champix really helped me, and I make no apologies for the fact that I used it. What really matters is that I have stopped smoking, which for me was a very big deal indeed.

You're doing just fine. :D

Woo hooo Tropical, go you!!

How brilliant is it to get that first month under your belt, great feeling isnt it!

As for the champix, who cares what you use if you stop poisoning yourself. I started on patches and lozenges, dropped the patches after 2 weeks but stayed with the lozenges, I can virtually guarantee that if I hadnt had that support I wouldnt still be here and winning today.

Do whatever you need to do. My son is going to quit soon and Ive advised him to try the champix after all that I have read on here.

See you in Month 2
