hahaha totally know where you're coming from...I even ate a snickers AND a Twix this afternoon. When I was smoking I didn't like chocolate LOL!

I'm gonna be a non-smoking, brummy, jabba the hut if I'm not careful. XX

It doesn't matter for the minute...we'll loose the weight when we've got our quit under our belts. If we can beat nicotine, we can beat the flab.

P.S. I even ate what was left of my husbands nuts - a big bag of dry roasted peanuts that is (I do not lie!)

Donna,

Please do not worry about the food situation at this stage, you deserve all the comfort food you can manage lol:p Give it a few more weeks and you will start to feel like getting into healthy eating, trust me;) I am now very fed up with crisps, choc and junk, and am starting to crave a large plate of brussels sprouts. Could cause a lot of, erm, well, you know:eek:

Meanwhile, Lisa, I am shocked and disturbed about you threatening to bite your husbands nuts:eek: But then again, men being men, I would prob say go for it hee hee!!

Well done everyone for getting so far :)

Zoe's right, it does calm down after a while. I'm back to my pre-quit eating habits again (not that that was particularly brilliant, but I've ceased eating everything in sight!).

I ate like an ENORMOUS PIG for about eight weeks. It does calm down though!

Seem to have balanced out about half a stone heavier, nearly a year down the line. Not so bad, in the grand scheme of things.

Next year's target: toning! I'm not too huge, but things are going decidedly south. Perky... I long for perky...

Well done with the quit and keep going!

I've gone from chocolate malted milks/sugar coated nice biscuits to rich tea this week - not ideal but better!!! also eating at least 2 of my 5 a day (used to be zero!!!) :o

Yesterday I ate:

An egg and cress sandwich full fat and white brad

pkt of cheese and onion crisps

double size snicker

chocolate covered oatmeal bar

two slices of toast, loaded with butter

two slices of home baked bread soaked in butter

6 tea biscuits with butter on them.

Get a feeling I like bread and butter and chocolate?

I couldnt even be bothered to cook anything.

But Ive promised myself that today I am going to war healthily ( ho ho ho cos I believe that lol )

Me too - I've become a toastaholic - a nice spread of pate is current fave followed closely by scambled eggs on toast.

My wife stopped April 2010, she put some weight on, but then started to exercise as she felt soo good about not smoking. She now weighs less than before she quit, so it can be done.

Kick the fags first the rest will come

hahaha Lillie, your post made me smile. Good to know the whole eating thing subsides after a while. I'm not used to eating this much and putting on weight in such a small space of time. Small price to pay for quitting smoking though.
