Have reached day 7 and feeling surprisingly in control at last, however, I do have a sore throat and feel like I'm coming down with something. Just wondering is this part of the process or am I just unlucky and picked up a bug?? Either way, thank god I'm not smoking....!!

Well done for reaching day 7. At this stage, almost any symptoms can be pretty much put down to your quit unless proved otherwise! You body has some readjustments to make, which can show up in all sorts of ways, but sore throats are very common.
I have been smoke free for quite a bit longer and although I have avoided a sore throat I have had days where I felt that my throat was drying out and I was in for a cold.
I have nearly finished Day 4 and I have had a really sore throat for the last couple of days, and today I feel as if I'm getting a cold Saw my doctor yesterday and he said it is part of the process. Can't believe I used to smoke through full-blown chest infections, hacking my head off and getting so angry cos I couldn't inhale properly, urrgh  Shows how addictive nicotine is and we don't realize until we try to stop. Lets hope we both feel better soon, and its great to not have smoked for 4 days, I didn't think I would get even this far.
