last month was difficult, but not because of quitting. a couple of times i could have started again but why? i am totally convinced by all the arguments, cigs would taste bad, do bad, they wouldn't help in any way at all.
some positives,
i am sooo much healthier: i go running as much as my old legs will let me, which is about 3 miles a week i do some yoga which is easier on the system but just as much fun and really gives me something to aim for health wise.
i'm eating sooo much better, much more fruit and veg, hardly ever get chips, but kind of addicted to pizza!
i'm better at dealing with stress, heaven knows i've had plenty of chance to practice!
most important, i feel more in control. i never realised how important this was before, now it is a real strong need, i can cope with a lot just so long as i feel in control.
some negatives,
um...
ty allen carr!

Well done you, half way all ready to where you were on your last quit. Must say you sound very positive. Just remember that little B sat on your shoulder waiting for a moments weakness, reading your post though, I don't need to tell you that. David
So proud of you! I think all of us are going to get moments when we *could* smoke - but we *won't*. All those difficult moments pass, and we come out the other side of them smoke free, and it's a great feeling!
Well done on the 3 months.40 of those = A DECADE!!!!!!....wow.
So here we are You and Me and a cup of T.
Its here we surely forget the day we gave up AGAIN this year....It seems a long time ago.....all that enthusiasm and the novelty of The Sticky For Good Quit.
For what??????......lets remind ourselves. They taste horrible......they really serve no purpose...Cost a fortune ....Stink out the home/clothes/hair.Cause no end of health problems...ONE DAY.
Enough...I'm convinced I'm onto a winner and so are you........But
Yes one could remind oneself how horrible they are.....or maybe fool oneself into believing just the one will do no harm......One wont......its the others that go with it.
So onwards we march-------and with who knows who.......how many june quitters are still with us?
I'm happy not to smoke any more......I'm sure you are.....
Onto month 4 and 5 we head.......HAPPILY Not Smoking.
thanks all, yes onwards it is, no surrender, and never let up the guard! ans yes, however bad it seems, we just need to remember it will pass - maybe we should remember that in the good times too! best wishes - 5mol<er (who is happily not smoking :))
