Hello there,
Well today is my first day and that huge massive step towards becoming a non-smoker.
I started smoking at the age of 31 (:confused and 10 years down the line, I now absolutely hate smoking - unless I'm having a glass or two of wine!
I have made the commitment to quit to my family, but most of all, I want this for me.
Anyway, almost 12 hours in - I've decided to give myself a lazy day on the sofa, with lots of water and fruit.
I can't wear patches (allergy), so will be using lozenges and a lot of will power.
I've chosen to use this forum as two years ago, I lost 5 stone (through slimming world) and I found a forum fantastic for sharing and keeping focused.
Wish me luck!

Hi Shellie
and good luck for your first day. Well done for going 12 hrs without smoking :). I seem to be allergic to the patches and I can't have them.
I am using now the inhalator and some of the chewing gum that I had left
over. Works brilliant for me.
I hope to see you soon in day 2 . All the best

Hi Shellie
Welcome to the foum, and good luck with your quit. I have to ask - why would anyone start smoking at 31?!!!
Hope that it goes well for you - let us know how you are doing.
